* Theory:
“AYURVEDA / ABHYANGA Ayurvedic massage” training 6 days / 42 hours Module 1
- The theory of Ayurveda is covered throughout the week and throughout the entire course with regular case studies.
- Fundamental bases of Ayurveda: Pancha mahabhutas /Doshas/ Dathus/ Gunas / Prakriti and Vikruti/ Agni / Food and lifestyle / Panchakarma: introduction / Pharmacopoeia: some plants (Ashwagandha, triphala etc…).
- Energy dimension: Subtle anatomy (Chakras, Nadis, Marmas points) / Kriyas / Practitioner preparation and preservation techniques / Mantras
- 20 hours minimum of personal work with study of the book by Dr Robert E. Svoboda: “PRAKRITI”. You can download it on Google.
* Practice:
- Learning the protocol in pairs after demonstration with a volunteer student.
- Study of Marmas points that we will review throughout the course.
- Daily: Yoga and Pranayama
- Practical exam in a real situation (massage). The exam is validated if the person being massaged is satisfied with the care received (a report issued by the guest is given to each student [pluses and minuses] in order to be able to progress subsequently).
Prerequisites: No prerequisites are necessary
Group of 12 people maximum.

At the end of the course all participants will get the certificate, the manual and will be able to provide a 90 minutes massage to the whole body by using: Deep massage with essential oils, breathwork and energy work
Shantala baby massage course 3 days /24 hours
* Theory:
- History of massage - here and elsewhere
- The importance of touch
- Preparation and mindset of the caregiver
- Care giver and baby position
- Environment and supplies
- Precautions
- Use of oils and their properties
- The benefits of baby massage
* Practice:
- Learning the Shantala Massage Sequence: The Face; Torso; Arms and Hands; Legs and Feet; Back; Final Exercises
- Develop the ablity to adapt the massage to the spontaneity of baby's movements
- Daily: Yoga and Pranayama
The specifics of the Sanctuary baby massage course is based on Ayurvedic knowledge for a massage of overall well-being, according to the Shantala massage method, and on Traditional Chinese Medicine to provide comfort and address common infant ailments. Two different traditions which complement each other, and which we will approach calmly for rich and effective work.

– Perform a caring baby massage correctly to completely relax the baby
– Recognize and interpret baby signals and body language
– Teach people correct massage techniques to relax their baby, as a baby massage teacher
